Guidelines for submitting manuscripts to Journal of Brain-Computer Interfaces and Neural Integration
Manuscript Submission
Format: Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word or LaTeX format via the journal’s submission portal or designated email. Include all supplementary materials (figures, tables, datasets, code) in high-resolution formats (.TIFF, .JPEG, .PDF).
Cover Letter: Should outline the manuscript’s relevance to brain-computer interface research and neural integration, confirm originality, and state that it is not under review elsewhere.
Manuscript Structure
Title Page: Include manuscript title, author names, institutional affiliations, and contact details for the corresponding author.
Abstract: 150–250 words summarizing objectives, methodology, key findings, and implications for neurotechnology and human-machine interaction.
Keywords: Provide 4–6 keywords relevant to brain-computer interfaces, neural engineering, and cognitive systems.
Main Body: Organize into Introduction, Background, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
References: Use APA, IEEE, or Chicago style, citing recent and relevant literature in neuroscience, computational modeling, and BCI technologies.
Tables & Figures: Clearly labeled and referenced in the text. Include descriptive captions and source notes where applicable.
Ethics & Disclosure
Ethics Statement: Required for studies involving human participants, neural recordings, or sensitive cognitive data. Include IRB or ethics committee approval where applicable.
Conflicts of Interest: Disclose any affiliations, funding sources, or external influences that may affect the research outcomes or interpretations.
Review Process
Peer Review: Double-blind review by experts in neuroscience, neural engineering, and computational systems. Initial feedback is typically provided within four to six weeks.
Revisions: Authors are expected to address reviewer comments and submit revised manuscripts within two to three weeks.
Final Decision: Determined by the editorial board based on reviewer recommendations and manuscript quality.
Copyright & Open Access
Copyright Transfer: Required upon acceptance. All articles are published under a Creative Commons license to ensure open access and global dissemination.
